Family shoots are still one of my favorite shoots to do! The Theart Family is a family I’ve known for a number of years and it was a blast doing their shoot. Actually it took us about 3 hours, wondering through the gardens, playing and joking around…  Personally, I loved shooting between the Christmas roses, the lighting was perfect and the scenery magnificent!  

Sebastian

This Newborn session was a very special one! One that I was emotionally invested in ever since I found out my bestie was pregnant. Little Sebastian was such a trooper during the shoot And his parents had the cutest outfits for him to wear. Sebastian, your mommy and I had way too much fun dressing you up and posing you on chairs and your daddy’s back! One day, when you’re all grown up, we’ll tell you all about it. LOL! But for now, here is the photo evidence….    

Bezuidenhout Family

They’re such a friendly, warm hearted family. We did the shoot right in their back yard and included all the pets. They all just melted me heart. But, unfortunately they did suffer a tragedy. A week after the shoot one of their dogs drowned. My heart was breaking for them. I know the pain of losing a pet (our four-legged children). I’m just relieved that now their beloved four-legged child will forever be in their pictures.  

Kroukamp Family

I’ve known these two lovebirds for a long time, so you can imagine my excitement when they asked me to do a family shoot for them and a “smash the cake” session with their one year old son! Little Joshua is so adorable and curious about everything, I just can’t help myself staring at him. He is such a precious , energetic bundle of joy!  

Stander Family

In 2014 I photographed the Burger family. And Sonja purchased a gift voucher for Marcolette  to have her family photographed. We had a great day at the beach together. With the fog coming in and softening the light, it gave a different feel so some of the images. The two Stander girls were such a joy! Please enjoy their pictures!  

Jooste Family

I’ve known this beautiful family since the age of 7 and it was an absolute privilege to do their photo shoot. These all probably my favorite kind of shoots to do, big/extended families! I had so much fun and I can’t wait to do another after the kids have grown some more. I love you!  

Barnard Family

Coming all the way from Dubai, it was a real privilege to do their family shoot! We were very lucky to have had a hot winters day to do this shoot at the beach. Their two little girls are too cute for words. I want to thank them, because families like this makes me excited to start my own one day. Seeing and capturing the love they have for one another is precious and it’s one of the things I love about my job!  

Mikael’s 1st Birthday

Mikael’s jungle themed birthday party was a big hit! There were so many friends and their mommies to join in the fun. Mikael’s mom had an amazing soft jungle gym setup, healthy, delicious cupcakes for the kids and great weather to round it all off. Everyone had a fantastic time!

Michelle wanted to do something very special for her bridesmaids and what a great idea this is! Spending some time doing a fun shoot together and then gifting the pictures before the wedding. And she even added some Christmas to the day. She got each a Christmas outfit and we had some more laughs.
